Some of the longest-running institutions of the Sephardic Torah Center of Marine Park belong to its women. Classes for ladies were among the first programs the shul created in its founding year — and they have never stopped.

The Shabbat Tehillim program

On Shabbat afternoons, the Ladies & Girls Tehillim program gathers — a tradition the shul has renewed summer after summer, year after year, with the Rebbetzin's involvement from its earliest seasons. It is exactly what it sounds like: mothers, daughters, neighbors and friends, reading Tehillim together for the kehila and for Klal Yisrael.

Evenings of learning and chizuk

Through the years the shul has hosted women's evenings with noted teachers — shiurim on Taharat HaMishpacha and Shalom Bayit during Shovavim, pre-Yamim Noraim evenings of chizuk, and practical workshops. These evenings fill a room every time, because they answer a real need: Torah for the women who set the tone of every home in the kehila.

In the new building

The move to 3609 Quentin Road gives the women of the kehila what the rented shul never could: proper space of the community's own for shiurim, programs, and semachot. Watch the schedule for current programs.
